Kevin welcomes commissions and has produced many over the years for corporate/ public bodies and private clients. A busy schedule means he will consider commission enquiries that fit in with his prior commitments and body of work.
If you would like to make a commission enquiry please have a read through the 7 points below first, then email: email@example.com
1 Why commission?
Commissioning an original painting from the artist is a very different experience to buying a painting from a gallery because It gives you the opportunity to collaborate with the artist — resulting in a uniquely personal piece for you or the recipient.
2 No experience required
With over 35 years experience – managing commissions is second nature to Kevin. His professional, relaxed, manner makes for an enjoyable collaboration that requires no previous experience of commissioning on your behalf.
3 What can I commission?
Kevin considers commission requests that are broadly in line with the subject matter of his existing body of work. Your commission request can be as detailed or as loose as you like. So, for example you could request Kevin to:
feature a subject or location with personal significance to you or the final recipient;
produce a painting of a particular size or shape;
produce an engaging centre piece for a corporate or public building.
4 A stress-free process
If your request fits in with Kevin’s general body of work the process begins with a conversation to confirm the brief, costs and deadlines. Kevin will then email you an initial composition sketch for your comments and/or approval. This is followed by regular updates showing the work in progress until completed.
5 What will it cost?
Commission pricing is consistent with buying a Kevin McAleenan original of a similar size and level of complexity from a gallery and includes a professional frame which is fully strung and ready to hang.
If you are unable to collect the finished painting Kevin will organise a trusted professional art courier to deliver it to you. The art courier cost is additional and depends on your location.
7 Ownership and copyright
You will own the original painting. As with all artists, Kevin retains the copyright of every work he produces. Prints may be produced from any work in his back catalogue. So while others can enjoy a fantastic quality print — you can enjoy the fact that Kevin’s original artworks consistently go up in value and you have commissioned a most desirable original.
